Lethal Ape Experience Forest Monster Guide

New outdoor pressure from the Forest Update — described by space, not by rumored names.

Last updated:

Forest Monsters

The Forest Update added an outdoor layer and, with it, hunters that are allowed to use distance and weather. This page is the outdoor half of the monster roster. It will not invent a pair of proper names just because a tracker blog guessed them. When the client labels a body, the label goes here.

Learn the forest map loop before you come here to collect threats. A stalker is optional if you never leave the spine.

Spine stalkers

They travel the wide path or they cut it. You notice them as a rustle that does not match your cadence, or as a silhouette that is too tall for another ape. Stay near a landmark pair. If you lose both landmarks, you are in their game, not yours.

Do not sprint the spine to “get it over with.” Sound still matters; it just shares the bed with wind. How to Survive applies outdoors.

Ditch and brush ambushes

Depressions muffle the mix. Brush hides cones. Ambush types wait where the shortcut looks clever. If a path dives, treat it as a storage room with one door. Circle or skip. A teammate body in a ditch is a sign, not a loot pin.

Weather-masked hunters

Rain and wind are features, not cosmetics, when the update enables them. They hide your steps and theirs. In weather, shorten the loop. Tag one landmark, not two, and extract. The Forest Update page is where we note mix changes after a patch.

Facility-edge hybrids

Some hunters seem to understand both lighting modes. They wait on the threshold. That is why How to Escape tells you to pause facing backward before you celebrate. A clean Forest loop dies at the door more often than in the trees.

Event bodies

Forest week can ship a new mesh. A new mesh is not automatically a new type. Run the four questions from the Monsters Hub. If it still paths to sprint, it is a sound type in a costume.

Naming policy, again

You will see names like Noxar or Fearful on random trackers. We will not promote them until this place ID prints them. Wrong names create wrong counters. Behavior-first text survives a rename.

If you want a rank, the monster tier list puts first-visit Forest stalkers in A. After two clean loops, your personal rank can drop. The hunter did not get nicer.

Walk home. That is the whole outdoor roster strategy. Screenshots can wait for a scout run with no valuables and a friend on the threshold.

A Forest-only night

Do not enter trees until a lab loop is boring. Then run the landmark drill twice with empty hands. The first loop is for the threshold. The second is for the rustle that does not match your step. If you still cannot name a floodlight, you are not ready to carry valuables outdoors.

Event week will tempt you to chase a new mesh. Film it on a scout run with a friend on the door. Do not mix a highlight hunt with a wallet. Outdoor types punish greed that indoor types would have only scared. A second clean loop is the unlock, not a new mesh.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What are the new Forest Update monsters called?

The studio has not locked public names in the client. We describe stalkers, ditch ambushes, and threshold hybrids instead.

Can Forest monsters enter the lab?

Treat the threshold as contested. Some chases continue through the door. Do not celebrate early.

Is the Forest safer because it is open?

No. Open space hides silhouettes and lies about distance.

Should I hunt Forest monsters for a jumpscare video?

Do it on a scout run with an extract plan. Do not mix filming with valuables.
